Submarine Escape Suit.

It started with Wearing Leathers today, moved on to Hazmat and finally to a RN Submarine Escape Suit.

Out of all my gear when I have to answer the question.... What 3 things do you like the most? ,Erm.. That's a hard one!  First would have to be wet / dry suits then motocross and lastly this suit.

This Submarine Escape Suit is really two suits sandwiched together with what can be explained as the insides of a rubber camp bed, so it can be inflated. It's a restricted suit to wear  and you can get hot and sweaty quite quickly which adds to the fun of wearing it.

It was originally intended to be worn with nothing but speedo's under it but, rubber is much so horny.

Used by the British Royal Navy to escape from a submarine at depth so the wearer would not get the effects of the 'bends'.

These suits do turn up on ebay from time to time but now go for stupid money. Mine is over ten years old and does require a new wrist seal has I ripped it off by accident this morning putting it on. Oops Doh! Looking on the bright side they don't cost much to replace just the same has a dry suit seal and it don't affect the way the suit operates unless you eant to use it for a flotation suit, which I have no intention of doing.
