RETURN OF THE HAZMAT

Like everyone else at the beginning of the year I was flat broke and had to wait 5 weeks until the next pay packet so, what do you do? Ebay of course. Sold a load of gear! Would I miss it, yes I would!!!

One of the items I sold was a yellow hazmat suit, I loved it but, it went to a good home...... to a fellow 'gear head'. Well today I got  NEW ONE!!!! Orange Resprex suit, rubber inside, large and with fitter boot and gloves. Oh and the other thing......BRAND NEW!!! Well sort of, should I say never used until today ;-)

SNOWBOARDS AND GEAR

Another of my gear-head kinks is Snowboarding. This if for all the guys who enjoy the slopes and also the gear!

I've been Snowboarding for the past 18 months since we had a local  indoor, real snow venue open up a few minutes drive from home.

I'd like to take this time and say I have always been into this gear including ski gear for a long time but, with the opening of my local venue its become a place where I can wear gear and be a part of the action.

I cannot comment myself what other guys who go to the indoor slope think but, I can bet that well over 50% of the other lads that go have some sort of kink into the gear.  This is only a sample of what I wear on the slopes. I do however have one more kink with snowboarding! I would love to snowboard in the open in a wetsuit. We will see if this happens in the future PMSL.

Wednesday 22nd of September 2010 Fun Video

Leathers,  Hazmat & Escape Suit... Played about with imovie to make this short. sorry about the choice of music (spanish flea) but it seemed like a good choice at the time. ;-)

Submarine Escape Suit.

It started with Wearing Leathers today, moved on to Hazmat and finally to a RN Submarine Escape Suit.

Out of all my gear when I have to answer the question.... What 3 things do you like the most? ,Erm.. That's a hard one!  First would have to be wet / dry suits then motocross and lastly this suit.

This Submarine Escape Suit is really two suits sandwiched together with what can be explained as the insides of a rubber camp bed, so it can be inflated. It's a restricted suit to wear  and you can get hot and sweaty quite quickly which adds to the fun of wearing it.

It was originally intended to be worn with nothing but speedo's under it but, rubber is much so horny.

Used by the British Royal Navy to escape from a submarine at depth so the wearer would not get the effects of the 'bends'.

These suits do turn up on ebay from time to time but now go for stupid money. Mine is over ten years old and does require a new wrist seal has I ripped it off by accident this morning putting it on. Oops Doh! Looking on the bright side they don't cost much to replace just the same has a dry suit seal and it don't affect the way the suit operates unless you eant to use it for a flotation suit, which I have no intention of doing.

Hazmat

After wearing leathers today I got to admit I got a little bored so decided to take some photos of a new hazmat suit I've had for a few months now. This suit made by Resperex in the UK has built in air pump and can be used with or without a respirator. Size is XL and it also has encaputated boots. Worn today without over rubber gloves (but this is only because I would not be able to use the remote to take the pixs with).

Leathers

Its one of those things a 'gearhead' is likely to own, worn on its own or with rubber under its all good. In my collection I have 4 sets of leathers..... 3 1piece and a 2 piece.

Black is my colour of choice but I do have other colours to choose from ;)

This is my RST 1piece race leathers.
