Back On Top!

It's been a while since I posted anything on here and maybe you are interested to know whats been going on in my life.....
Well nothing interesting!

Stress and depression was the main reason I never got around to posting anything on here. It did not help me having weird shifts at work which stopped me from kitting and dressing up! My secret life of a 'gear-head' was put on hold and nothing exciting was happening in my life. It was as if my life was on hold. Mid through the the year I was burgled and the house was ran-sacked. Those who burgled me went through everything I owned and even took my dog! (Charlie the Westie) beside taking my apple laptop and ps3, camera's and other electronic items to boot. The police tracked down the dog and Charlie was returned! A few weeks later my insurance company paid me out and all the stolen goods replaced like for like with brand new items. But, my life now was so much different that before. Having someone uninvited invading my home made me depressed and in turn working for a large retail company who did not really care what had happened to me made me sink further into the deep realms where I was heading. Getting my life back to where it was once before had to be the hardest task undertaken so far.
Time for change....

Things had to change! I had to get my life back on track and doing the same old, same old each and every day was making me old before my time.

Late 2011 was the start of big change in my life. Started with my car being wrote off in the company car park where I worked by an uninsured driver, who left the scene. The company I worked for did not really care about what had happened. They informed me that the security cameras where not on the car park but, instead where watching the cash machines being filled. So there was no idea who had crashed into my car! Then came Christmas and the start of the silly season. Work became hard when staff left and the company would not replace them. They expected everyone else to work harder. Those who know me know that the job I did was very stressful to start with and now was harder than ever. I was now working 6 day weeks with Sunday morning starts at 1am. But finishing on a Saturday afternoon at 5pm. Me time was cut back further again.

2012 The Year Of Change....
I know is now August but change is slow. But, now work for a fab new company in a great stress-free job, loads of me time which for a 'gear-head' is a great treat. I start early finish early! Have respect from my employer and better paid to boot. Started buying gear again and making new friends online where I have not done anything like it for ages.

Have had plenty of opportunities to gear up and have some fun. Now looking at buying a new mx bike and getting my life back in order. 2012 has been an excellent year so far for me and looking forward its right what people say about change being better than a rest.

New Gear.....

Alpinestars mx gear
Alpinestars smx boots in red

Blue pair of motocross boots

RETURN OF THE HAZMAT

Like everyone else at the beginning of the year I was flat broke and had to wait 5 weeks until the next pay packet so, what do you do? Ebay of course. Sold a load of gear! Would I miss it, yes I would!!!

One of the items I sold was a yellow hazmat suit, I loved it but, it went to a good home...... to a fellow 'gear head'. Well today I got  NEW ONE!!!! Orange Resprex suit, rubber inside, large and with fitter boot and gloves. Oh and the other thing......BRAND NEW!!! Well sort of, should I say never used until today ;-)

SNOWBOARDS AND GEAR

Another of my gear-head kinks is Snowboarding. This if for all the guys who enjoy the slopes and also the gear!

I've been Snowboarding for the past 18 months since we had a local  indoor, real snow venue open up a few minutes drive from home.

I'd like to take this time and say I have always been into this gear including ski gear for a long time but, with the opening of my local venue its become a place where I can wear gear and be a part of the action.

I cannot comment myself what other guys who go to the indoor slope think but, I can bet that well over 50% of the other lads that go have some sort of kink into the gear.  This is only a sample of what I wear on the slopes. I do however have one more kink with snowboarding! I would love to snowboard in the open in a wetsuit. We will see if this happens in the future PMSL.

Wednesday 22nd of September 2010 Fun Video

Leathers,  Hazmat & Escape Suit... Played about with imovie to make this short. sorry about the choice of music (spanish flea) but it seemed like a good choice at the time. ;-)

Submarine Escape Suit.

It started with Wearing Leathers today, moved on to Hazmat and finally to a RN Submarine Escape Suit.

Out of all my gear when I have to answer the question.... What 3 things do you like the most? ,Erm.. That's a hard one!  First would have to be wet / dry suits then motocross and lastly this suit.

This Submarine Escape Suit is really two suits sandwiched together with what can be explained as the insides of a rubber camp bed, so it can be inflated. It's a restricted suit to wear  and you can get hot and sweaty quite quickly which adds to the fun of wearing it.

It was originally intended to be worn with nothing but speedo's under it but, rubber is much so horny.

Used by the British Royal Navy to escape from a submarine at depth so the wearer would not get the effects of the 'bends'.

These suits do turn up on ebay from time to time but now go for stupid money. Mine is over ten years old and does require a new wrist seal has I ripped it off by accident this morning putting it on. Oops Doh! Looking on the bright side they don't cost much to replace just the same has a dry suit seal and it don't affect the way the suit operates unless you eant to use it for a flotation suit, which I have no intention of doing.

Hazmat

After wearing leathers today I got to admit I got a little bored so decided to take some photos of a new hazmat suit I've had for a few months now. This suit made by Resperex in the UK has built in air pump and can be used with or without a respirator. Size is XL and it also has encaputated boots. Worn today without over rubber gloves (but this is only because I would not be able to use the remote to take the pixs with).

Leathers

Its one of those things a 'gearhead' is likely to own, worn on its own or with rubber under its all good. In my collection I have 4 sets of leathers..... 3 1piece and a 2 piece.

Black is my colour of choice but I do have other colours to choose from ;)

This is my RST 1piece race leathers.

European ABC suits

European ABC suits (NBC) have always done something towards me. NBC suits have been mainly in the West been constructed of fabric with have a carbon charcoal filter embedded, where as the European suit are RUBBER!!!  Either it be French, Russian, Ceczh or German Zodiak each of these suits are a must for a 'gear head'  even better when shared with friends.
