European ABC suits (NBC) have always done something towards me. NBC suits have been mainly in the West been constructed of fabric with have a carbon charcoal filter embedded, where as the European suit are RUBBER!!! Either it be French, Russian, Ceczh or German Zodiak each of these suits are a must for a 'gear head' even better when shared with friends.

Wetsuits
Looking back over the years I think the first instance was a wetsuit. I was 13 years old and was being introduced to surfing. I had to get a wetsuit, so me and a few friends went to Manchester to a water sports shop to try on suits. I did not know until this point that I had a fetish or what a fetish was. Cutting to the chase .... After looking at the suits all lined up on the pegs I started to get excited looking at them and the smell...wow!!!!
Anyone who's had a new wetsuit will agree that its a wonderful smell. I picked the suit I wanted and went in to the changing rooms where I think it changed my life!!!! Putting on the suit on the feeling was fantastic... a small boy with a large hard on and I could not understand why! Red faced and a shammed I could not come out of the changing room because my mates would of made fun out of me with a hard on showing through the suit. also the feeling of the suit next to my skin!!! It was also the very first time that I came and creamed the suit with such a large blow out!!!
Oops has you say....I can still the assistant asking me if I need help. I took off the suit, got changed and placed the suit back on the peg!!! nicely creamed inside. I never got a wetsuit that day! But, I did get to try other suits on :) Then came the day when I got my first suit. It's like anyone says you never forget your first time. I still blush when I walk past that shop. Its now a ski shop.
Ice Hockey Gear
In my opinion there is only one 'gear- head' sport and that's Ice Hockey'. However there is also 'American Football' or if you are in the states 'Football'! It's all to do with the padding! That's what gets me excited. Ice hockey is not as big as it is here in the UK has it is in North America which is a shame. But, never the less still a contact sport and there is gear available if you know where to find it.

Gasmasks
The largest items in a 'gear-heads' collection has to be a 'gas mask'. Easy to obtain, can be found proactively everywhere from flea markets, car boot sales, garage sales not to mention 'eBay' of course. My first mask was found on the farm where I grew up. It was used only when we had to fumigate the chicken sheds. I can picture it now, white protective suit, black rubber boots, black rubber gloves, heavy double rubber belt and a gas mask covered by the suit hood. Its amazing I turned out the way a did! I was about 14 years old when I had the chance to wear all this gear only has a farm hand at first. Tuesday evenings where spent in the 'Cadets''. I had an older brother who escaped the farm by joining the army so looking back at that I wanted to follow in his foot steps and it gave me the chance to dress up has a soldier. Something was stirring at that age, that it was I didn't know.

How it fitted the face and the blow piece to make it air tight was so different to what I had used on the farm before hand. I loved that mask it was mine but, where was I going to hide it. Lucky for me at the time I had a den on the farm, somewhere where I could hang out, pool table comics waterproofs and now my mask. The den was a place where my mates from school who came over could hang out so I was not in the farmhouse under my parents feet. It was a old pig sty which was in the oldest part of the farm so it had that old musk smell mixed with the richness of the water proof PVC smell and then to add any more the rubber smell of the hidden gear.

In my opinion most 'gear-heads' will say the same about its what you look like in gear and the protection element that's the turn on. Later before leaving school I had a collection of over ten different masks. My parents found these masks to which I replied going bright red, that its my collection and that I collect masks! To my amazement seemed normal to them and ended up with more masks after being given a few found in the loft from WW2.
After leaving school I joined the TA, friends at the time thought that it was for cheap beer. That was never the case. I looked at it has being 2 bites of a cherry college Monday to Friday Weekends TA. Then came my first S10 mask, NBC suit and NBC training with the Preston Garrison. The rest is history. Alas to say it never went any further and few years later left the TA to go to University. I too escaped the farm but, not my fetish.

My Greatest Mistake :- POTMC SUIT
Why do you say its a mistake?
Well It took me such a hassle to get it and had it for about 6 years, postage alone cost more than the suit on its own, shipped in 4 boxes, like rocking horse shit to get hold off and this arse-hole sold it on 'ebay' and got the poorly sum of £100 for it after a last minute bidder put a bid in within seconds of the auction finishing. It was a sad day for me I can tell you! Has a gear-head when members of other sites like 'gearfetish' see my profile the first thing they ask is..... "What's that suit in your profile, the one with the goldfish bowl on your head?" Alas I have to say "I dont have that one anymore!" Hell of a suit to wear, it was a little too small anyway (he say's with a frown).
Used by the US Army for rocket fuel installers and has horny to wear, it has its own air filter system and cooling suit under the rubber suit. The charging unit for the batteries was the poorest design where they would only last about 15-20 minutes tops and the filter pack was has heavy has FCUK!!! The only advantage was that it was one hell of a taking point at a party. Other than this I have to admit that I really hated and loved it at the same time. Two years ago I sold it and still people ask about it all of the time, only a lucky few got to experience it! Such is life!
These days I still sell on 'ebay' but have to think long and hard why am I selling what I am selling. There come a time in a 'gear-heads' life in which he/she has to move on and sell their life's laundry!
